Abstract

The transition from traditional enterprise API gateways to cloud native API management solution represents a critical evolution of energy and utility companies that are looking for enhanced scalability, security and cost efficiency. This research explores the migration from on-premise API gateways to Azure API Management (APIM) that addresses key challenges such as interoperability, latency optimization, identity and access management (IAM), and compliance with industry regulations.
